ಆಮೇಲೆ ಮುನಿಯು ಆ ಪರ್ವತದ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದನು— “ನಾನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪುಣ್ಯಕರವಾದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಮಹಾತೀರ್ಥಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನಾನು ವೃದ್ಧನು; ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಲು ಅಶಕ್ತನು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗು.”
