गोः स्वर्गादागता यस्मादिदं स्थानं मती मता । तस्माद्धि गोमतीनाम ख्यातिं लोके गमिष्यति
goḥ svargādāgatā yasmādidaṃ sthānaṃ matī matā | tasmāddhi gomatīnāma khyātiṃ loke gamiṣyati
ಅವಳು ಸ್ವರ್ಗದಿಂದ ಬಂದ ‘ಗೋ’—ದಿವ್ಯ ಗೋವು—ಎಂದು ಗಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಈ ಸ್ಥಳವೂ ತದನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಪೂಜ್ಯವೆಂದು ಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದಕಾರಣ ‘ಗೋಮತಿ’ ಎಂಬ ನಾಮವು ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುವುದು.
