सूत उवाच । एतत्पुराणमखिलं पुरा स्कन्देन भाषितम् । भृगवे ब्रह्मपुत्राय तस्माल्लेभे तथांऽगिराः

ಸೂತನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಈ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಪುರಾಣವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಕಂದನು ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಪುತ್ರನಾದ ಭೃಗುವಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿದನು; ಅವನಿಂದಲೇ ಅಂಗಿರಸನೂ ಇದನ್ನು ಪಡೆದನು।
