Pitṛs (ancestors), as quoted within the Dvārakā-māhātmya context
Tirtha: Dvārakā (māhātmya-śravaṇa)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Audience receiving the Dvārakā-māhātmya
Scene: A brāhmaṇa recites the Dvārakā-māhātmya to attentive listeners; the text is treated as sacred, with offerings and respectful posture, while a faint vision of Dvārakā and Kṛṣṇa appears behind the reciter.
Śravaṇa (listening) to sacred māhātmyas from qualified reciters and honoring them is itself a devotional dharma that bears spiritual fruit.
Dvārakā, through the recitation and reverence of its māhātmya.
Hearing the Dvārakā-māhātmya from a brāhmaṇa and reverently honoring it (pūjana/ādara).
