varadāne naraḥ snāto gosahasraphalaṃ labhet | viṣṇudurvāsasoryatra varadānamabhūtpurā

Translation

ವರದಾನ ತೀರ್ಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿದವನು ಸಾವಿರ ಗೋ-ದಾನದ ಫಲಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ಪುಣ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರಾತನಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಷ್ಣು ಮತ್ತು ದುರ್ವಾಸರ ವರಪ್ರದಾನ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿತು।
