चन्द्रशर्मोवाच । के यूयं विकृताकारा जंतूनां च भयानकाः । पृथ्वीसमुद्भवा जीवा न दृष्टा न श्रुता मया
candraśarmovāca | ke yūyaṃ vikṛtākārā jaṃtūnāṃ ca bhayānakāḥ | pṛthvīsamudbhavā jīvā na dṛṣṭā na śrutā mayā
ಚಂದ್ರಶರ್ಮನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ವಿಕೃತಾಕಾರಿಗಳೇ, ಜೀವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಯಂಕರರಾಗಿರುವ ನೀವು ಯಾರು? ನೀವು ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದ ಜೀವಿಗಳಂತೆ ಕಾಣುತ್ತೀರಿ; ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ।
