विशाखोवाच । न शीलं न कुलं यस्य नास्ति पापकृतं भयम् । तस्य स्त्रीहनने साध्व्यो ज्ञायते जन्म कर्म च । हीनस्य पुरुषार्थेन तेन संगो निरर्थकः
viśākhovāca | na śīlaṃ na kulaṃ yasya nāsti pāpakṛtaṃ bhayam | tasya strīhanane sādhvyo jñāyate janma karma ca | hīnasya puruṣārthena tena saṃgo nirarthakaḥ
ವಿಶಾಖೆ ಉವಾಚ—ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಶೀಲವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಕುಲಮರ್ಯಾದೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಪಾಪಕೃತ್ಯದ ಭಯವೂ ಇಲ್ಲ; ಅವನ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಹನನದಿಂದಲೇ, ಹೇ ಸಾಧ್ವಿಯರೇ, ಅವನ ಜನ್ಮವೂ ಕರ್ಮವೂ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂಥ ಹೀನ, ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥಸಾಧಕನ ಸಂಗ ವ್ಯರ್ಥ.
