tatra tvaṃ devadeveśa gamane kuru mānasam | yathā sattīrthatāṃ yāti dharmāraṇyamanuttamam
Brahmā
Tirtha: Dharmāraṇya
Type: kshetra
Listener: Viṣṇu (Devadeveśa)
Scene: Brahmā urges Viṣṇu to set his mind on traveling so that Dharmāraṇya attains renowned, authentic tīrtha-status; the moment carries forward-motion and consecratory power.
A sacred place becomes fully manifest as a tīrtha through the presence and consent of the Divine, not merely by geography.
Dharmāraṇya is explicitly praised as ‘anuttama’ and destined to be established as a sat-tīrtha.
A yātrā (journey) is implied—Viṣṇu is requested to go there to confer tīrtha-status.
