यम उवाच । एवमस्त्विति तां प्राह चान्यं वरय सत्वरम् । ददामि वरमुत्कृष्टं गानेन तोषितोस्म्यहम्
yama uvāca | evamastviti tāṃ prāha cānyaṃ varaya satvaram | dadāmi varamutkṛṣṭaṃ gānena toṣitosmyaham
ಯಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—“ಏವಮಸ್ತು.” ಎಂದು ಅವಳಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ—“ತ್ವರಿತವಾಗಿ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ವರವನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆಮಾಡು. ನಿನ್ನ ಗಾನದಿಂದ ನಾನು ತೃಪ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ವರವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತೇನೆ.”
