caitraśuklapratipadaḥ paṃcamīdinapaṃcake | rāvaṇo yudhyamāno 'bhūtpracuro rakṣasāṃ vadhaḥ

ಚೈತ್ರ ಶುಕ್ಲ ಪ್ರತಿಪದೆಯಿಂದ ಪಂಚಮಿವರೆಗೆ ಐದು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ರಾವಣನು ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರಲು ರಾಕ್ಷಸರ ಮಹಾ ಸಂಹಾರ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿತು.
