Narrator (Purāṇic narrator within Brahma Khaṇḍa context)
Scene: A group (Vamryas/ants) confer near the meditating Viṣṇu; they point toward a bow with taut string, proposing to cut it so the sharp twang will awaken Hari.
Even sacred goals require discernment in means—here, the narrative explores whether disturbing a yogin for dharma’s work is justified.
The Dharmāraṇya region forms the sacred backdrop; the verse focuses on the event (awakening Hari) rather than a named tīrtha.
An instrumental act is proposed—creating a sound by cutting a bowstring—to awaken Hari for the devas’ ritual objective.
