ಆ ಶಾಪವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಯಮನು ತಾಯಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಆತಂಕಗೊಂಡನು. ತಂದೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಮೊದಲು ಪ್ರಣಾಮ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೀಗೆಂದನು.
