दृष्टाः पुरा महादेव गन्धर्वनगरे विभो । विश्वावसुगृहे कन्या असंख्याताः सहस्रशः
dṛṣṭāḥ purā mahādeva gandharvanagare vibho | viśvāvasugṛhe kanyā asaṃkhyātāḥ sahasraśaḥ
ಹಿಂದೆ, ಓ ಮಹಾದೇವಾ, ಓ ಸರ್ವವ್ಯಾಪಿ ಪ್ರಭುವೇ, ಗಂಧರ್ವನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಾವಸುವಿನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಸ್ರಶಃ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯಾತ ಕನ್ಯೆಯರು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು।
