स एकदा जातकलक्षणज्ञानाहूय साधून्द्विजमुख्यवृंदान् । कुतूहलेनाभिनिविष्टचेताः पप्रच्छ कन्याजनने फलानि

sa ekadā jātakalakṣaṇajñānāhūya sādhūndvijamukhyavṛṃdān | kutūhalenābhiniviṣṭacetāḥ papraccha kanyājanane phalāni

ಒಮ್ಮೆ ಅವನು ಜಾತಕ-ಲಕ್ಷಣಜ್ಞಾನ ಹೊಂದಿದ ಸಜ್ಜನ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿ, ಕುತೂಹಲದಿಂದ ಮನಸ್ಸು ನೆಟ್ಟು, ಕನ್ಯಾಜನನದ ಫಲಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರಶ್ನಿಸಿದನು।
