शिशुमेनं समुद्धृत्य पुष्णाम्यौरसवद्ध्रुवम् । किं त्वविज्ञातकुलजं नोत्सहे स्प्रष्टुमुत्तमम्
śiśumenaṃ samuddhṛtya puṣṇāmyaurasavaddhruvam | kiṃ tvavijñātakulajaṃ notsahe spraṣṭumuttamam
ಈ ಶಿಶುವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಮಗನಂತೆ ಪೋಷಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅಜ್ಞಾತ ಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದ ಈ ಉತ್ತಮನನ್ನು ಸ್ಪರ್ಶಿಸಲು ನನಗೆ ಧೈರ್ಯವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
