Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 3
शिवपूजां सदा कुर्याद्बुद्धिमानिह मानवः । अशक्तश्चेत्कृता पूजां पश्येद्भक्तिविनम्रधीः
śivapūjāṃ sadā kuryādbuddhimāniha mānavaḥ | aśaktaścetkṛtā pūjāṃ paśyedbhaktivinamradhīḥ
ಈ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನು ಸದಾ ಶಿವಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಅಶಕ್ತನಾದರೆ ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ವಿನಮ್ರಮನಸ್ಸಿಟ್ಟು ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಕನಿಷ್ಠ ದರ್ಶನಮಾತ್ರವಾದರೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
