यम उवाच । देवदेव महारुद्र वीरभद्र नमोऽस्तु ते । निरागसि कथं मृत्यौ कोपस्तव समुत्थितः
yama uvāca | devadeva mahārudra vīrabhadra namo'stu te | nirāgasi kathaṃ mṛtyau kopastava samutthitaḥ
ಯಮನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಹೇ ದೇವದೇವ ಮಹಾರುದ್ರ, ಹೇ ವೀರಭದ್ರ, ನಿಮಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ. ಮೃತ್ಯು ನಿರಪರಾಧಿ; ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಮೃತ್ಯುವಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೋಪ ಏಕೆ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸಿದೆ?
