सूत उवाच । अथोवाच महादेवी तां बालां प्रति सादरम् । अयि वत्से महाभागे शृणु मे परमं वचः
sūta uvāca | athovāca mahādevī tāṃ bālāṃ prati sādaram | ayi vatse mahābhāge śṛṇu me paramaṃ vacaḥ
ಸೂತನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಅನಂತರ ಮಹಾದೇವಿಯು ಆ ಬಾಲಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾದರವಾಗಿ ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಹೇಳಿದಳು—“ಅಯಿ ವತ್ಸೆ, ಮಹಾಭಾಗೆ! ನನ್ನ ಪರಮ ವಚನವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು।”
