स्त्रीणां धर्मार्थिनां द्रव्यं पैतृकं भर्तृकं तथा । गवादीनां द्वादशीनां चैत्रादिषु यथाक्रमम्
strīṇāṃ dharmārthināṃ dravyaṃ paitṛkaṃ bhartṛkaṃ tathā | gavādīnāṃ dvādaśīnāṃ caitrādiṣu yathākramam
ಧರ್ಮ ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಿಗೆ ದಾನಾರ್ಥ ಧನವು ಪೈತೃಕವೂ ಭರ್ತೃಕವೂ—ಎರಡೂ ವಿಧಿಸಮ್ಮತ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಗೋದಾನಾದಿ ದ್ವಾದಶ ವ್ರತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಚೈತ್ರಾದಿ ಮಾಸಗಳ ಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಯಥಾಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲಿಸಬೇಕು।

Sthala Purana: As part of the Viśveśvarasaṃhitā’s Kāśī-centered instruction, the verse supports dharmic giving and vrata-order as preparatory discipline for approaching Viśveśvara (Śiva as Lord of the universe) in Kāśī; regulated dāna and month-order are framed as merit-making auxiliaries to Śiva-bhakti.
Significance: Merit (puṇya) through properly ordered dāna/vrata becomes an aid to purification (mala-kṣaya) and eligibility (adhikāra) for Śiva-pūjā and grace in Kāśī.

It points to disciplined observance of monthly vratas and charitable gifts (such as go-dana) in their prescribed season; this can be paired with Panchakshara japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) to sanctify the vow.
