देव्युवाच । रे मूढ रे हतप्रज्ञ व्यर्थ किं कुरुषे हठम् । न मदग्रेऽसुराः केपि स्थास्नवो जगतीत्रये

ದೇವಿಯು ಹೇಳಿದರು— ಓ ಮೂಢಾ, ಓ ನಷ್ಟಬುದ್ಧಿಯವನೇ! ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಏಕೆ ಹಠ ಹಿಡಿಯುತ್ತೀ? ನನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ತ್ರಿಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯಾವ ಅಸುರನೂ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಾರನು।
