Suta Goswami (narrating the Uma-saṃhitā teachings to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Tryambakeśvara
The verse enumerates Śiva-hallowed kṣetras and tīrthas, teaching that contact with such sanctified places—when joined to bhakti and right intention—supports purification of pāśa (bondage) and steady remembrance of Pati (Śiva), aiding the seeker toward mokṣa.
These locations are renowned for Saguna-Śiva worship through the Liṅga and temple presence; the pilgrim is encouraged to approach Śiva in accessible form (arcā/liṅga) while cultivating inner devotion that matures toward realizing Śiva’s transcendent nature.
Undertake tīrtha-yātrā with śaucā (purity), offer water/abhiṣeka at Śiva shrines, and keep japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—as the core inner practice during the journey.
