Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Shiva confers a new sacred identity—“Satyavatī”—showing that aligning one’s will with the Lord’s ājñā (divine command) and making it “true” leads to spiritual exaltation and universal reverence, a hallmark of the Pati (Lord) elevating the paśu (soul) by grace.
The verse reflects Saguna Shiva’s personal grace: the Lord directly addresses and blesses a devotee, indicating that devotion and obedience to Shiva’s will are integral to Shaiva worship—whether approached through the Linga (iconic presence) or through direct remembrance of Shiva as the bestower of boons.
The takeaway is disciplined obedience to Shiva’s injunctions (ājñā) supported by yogic steadiness and truthfulness (satya). Practically, one may pair this with daily Shiva-smaraṇa and japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” cultivating satya in speech and action as a living vrata.
