retaḥ skannaṃ dadhāra svaṃ droṇyāṃ caiva sa tāpasaḥ | tasmācca kalaśājjāto droṇaśśastrabhṛtāṃ varaḥ

ಆ ತಪಸ್ವಿಯು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಕನ್ನ ರೇತಸ್ಸನ್ನು ದ್ರೋಣಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದನು; ಆ ಕಲಶದಿಂದಲೇ ದ್ರೋಣನು ಜನಿಸಿದನು—ಶಸ್ತ್ರಧಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನು.
