न शक्यमन्तरं तेषां वक्तुं वर्षशतैरपि । पूर्णे शतसहस्रे तु कल्पो निःशेष उच्यते
na śakyamantaraṃ teṣāṃ vaktuṃ varṣaśatairapi | pūrṇe śatasahasre tu kalpo niḥśeṣa ucyate
ಅವುಗಳ ನಡುವಿನ ಅಂತರವನ್ನು ನೂರಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗದು. ಆದರೆ ಒಂದು ಲಕ್ಷ ವರ್ಷಗಳು ಪೂರ್ಣವಾದಾಗ ಅದನ್ನೇ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ‘ಕಲ್ಪ’ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
