Tattva Level: pasha
It frames creation as cyclical and time-bound, implying that liberation in Shaiva Siddhanta is attained by turning to Pati (Shiva), who transcends the threefold time (past, present, future) that governs worldly existence.
By emphasizing vast time cycles, the text points the devotee to a stable refuge: Saguna worship of Shiva (including Linga-upasana) becomes the practical means to relate to the timeless Pati while living within changing yugas and kalpas.
A key takeaway is steady daily japa of the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and regular Shiva-puja, cultivating constancy amid time’s cycles; this verse itself does not prescribe a specific bhasma or rudraksha rite.
