Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Cosmic Event: kalpa-chronology: future Manus and future heavenly ṛṣis within the same kalpa
It places human and cosmic history within Shiva-governed cycles of time (kalpa and manvantara), reminding the seeker that worldly epochs arise and pass, while Pati (Shiva) alone is the stable refuge leading beyond time-bound change.
By describing the ordered unfolding of future Manus and sages, the verse implicitly points to a divine governor of cosmic law; in Shaiva practice, that governor is approached as Saguna Shiva through Linga worship—honoring the Lord who sustains dharma across ages.
Contemplation on time’s cycles can be paired with daily japa of the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") to anchor the mind in Shiva, the timeless Pati, rather than in changing epochs and roles.
