FAQs

The verse places sacred events within the Manvantara cycle, implying that divine births and interventions arise to protect and uplift the sat (the righteous), aligning cosmic time with dharma and spiritual welfare (śreyas).

By emphasizing purposeful manifestation for the good of devotees, it supports the Shaiva view that Saguna expressions of the Supreme (Pati) appear within time to guide bound souls (paśu) toward liberation—often through accessible worship such as the Linga.

A practical takeaway is to anchor one’s life in śreyas through steady Shaiva sādhanā—daily Panchākṣarī japa ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") and devotion—so that one aligns with the dharmic current protected in every Manvantara.
