Role: creative
It underscores ṛta (cosmic order): beings reproduce according to their own nature and kind, reflecting the regulated universe upheld under Pati (Lord Shiva) even while souls (paśu) remain within worldly cycles.
By showing orderly creation, the verse points to an intelligent, sustaining Lord; Saguna Shiva as the upholder of dharma and cosmic law is implicitly affirmed, which devotionally culminates in Linga-worship as the stable symbol of that supreme governance.
No direct rite is prescribed; the takeaway is contemplative—observe nature’s order and cultivate vairāgya, then steady the mind in Shiva-bhakti (e.g., japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to transcend repetitive birth.
