The verse highlights dharmic continuity: preserving and strengthening a righteous lineage is presented as a supportive framework for living Dharma and ultimately turning life toward Shiva (Pati) through disciplined household life.
In the Shiva Purana’s outlook, stable family and social order sustains Vedic and Shaiva practices—daily worship, offerings, and vows—through which devotees approach Saguna Shiva (worshipped as the Linga) and mature toward higher realization.
No specific rite is directly stated; the practical takeaway is to uphold kula-dharma through regular Shiva worship—japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), and traditional observances such as Tripundra and Rudraksha as part of a steady devotional routine.
