Deliverance of Krishna and other devotees; Description of Shiva’s Greatness
sanatkumāra uvāca | evaṃ kṛṣṇassamārādhya śaṃkaraṃ lokaśaṃkaram | kṛtārtho'bhūnmuniśreṣṭha sarvājeyo'bhavattathā
Sanatkumara
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It teaches that sincere worship of Śaṅkara, the Pati (Lord) who bestows auspiciousness to all worlds, leads to kṛtārthatā—inner fulfillment and the completion of one’s rightful aim—along with divine protection and strength.
Śaṅkara is praised here as the accessible, gracious Lord (Saguna) who responds to devotion; such worship is commonly performed through the Śiva-liṅga as a concrete focus for reverence, surrender, and receiving anugraha (grace).
The takeaway is steady upāsanā (devotional worship): daily Śiva-pūjā with mantra-japa (especially the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) offered with humility, seeking fulfillment through Śiva’s grace rather than mere worldly victory.
