Parvati (Shiva/Śivā)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It highlights bhaktavātsalya—divine tenderness toward devotees—showing that sincere tapas and devotion to Śambhu draw the compassionate attention of the Goddess and, through her, the grace of Pati (Śiva).
By calling Vāsudeva a Śaṃbhu-bhakta, the verse affirms Saguna devotion—worship of Śiva as Śambhu (often through the Liṅga)—as a valid and grace-bestowing path within the Shiva Purana’s devotional theology.
The verse points to tapas supported by bhakti—regular japa of Shiva’s mantra (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and disciplined worship as the practical takeaway.
