FAQs

It teaches that true spiritual qualification is rooted in inner nature and cultivated virtues, while all social functions ultimately arise from Īśvara; in Shaiva Siddhanta, recognizing Shiva as Pati (the Lord) aligns one’s dharma toward liberation.

By identifying Īśvara as the source of cosmic order, the verse supports Saguna Shiva worship (including the Linga) as reverence to the Lord who sustains dharma; devotion purifies disposition and matures eligibility for higher knowledge.

Cultivate brahminical qualities through Shiva-upāsanā—daily japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), worship of the Shiva-linga with purity, and disciplined conduct (yama-niyama) as the practical expression of one’s dharma.
