It teaches that supreme liberating knowledge (jñāna) is perfected through Śiva-arādhana—devotional worship of Pati (Mahādeva)—showing that grace and disciplined devotion culminate in the highest realization.
The verse highlights “ārādhana” of Mahādeva, which in Shiva Purana practice is commonly performed through saguna upāsanā—especially Linga worship—where devotion to the manifest form leads the seeker toward the supreme truth of Śiva.
Regular Śiva-arādhana: Linga pūjā with mantra-japa (notably the Panchākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), supported by purity disciplines such as bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and steady meditation aimed at inner transformation.
