तथा पुत्रसहस्राणामयुतं च ददौ शिवः । मम चानुचरो नित्यं भविष्यस्यब्रवीदिति
tathā putrasahasrāṇāmayutaṃ ca dadau śivaḥ | mama cānucaro nityaṃ bhaviṣyasyabravīditi
ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಶಿವನು (ಅವನಿಗೆ) ಹತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಪುತ್ರರನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದನು; ಮತ್ತು ‘ಅವನು ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಸದಾ ನನ್ನ ಅನುಚರನಾಗಿರುವನು’ ಎಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದನು।

It highlights Śiva’s anugraha (saving grace): beyond worldly boons like progeny, the highest gift is enduring closeness to Śiva as His devoted attendant—signifying liberation through divine favor and faithful service.
The verse reflects Saguna Śiva’s compassionate, personal relationship with devotees—granting tangible blessings and also establishing a lasting bond of service, which in Linga-worship is expressed through daily upacāras, mantra, and surrender.
Practice steady sevā-bhāva: daily Linga-pūjā with the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), offering bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and maintaining disciplined devotion as Śiva’s ‘anu-cara’ (one who follows Him).
