It portrays a sacred convergence where gods, cosmic powers, and purified sages gather—implying that proximity to Śiva-tattva and dharmic presence culminate in vīta-kalmaṣa (inner purification), a prerequisite for liberation in Shaiva thought.
Such assemblies typically form around Śiva’s manifest (saguṇa) presence—often the Liṅga or a revealed divine locus—showing that even devas and grahas align themselves by reverence to Śiva as Pati (the supreme Lord) who orders the cosmos.
The verse highlights purification (kalmaṣa-kṣaya); a Shaiva takeaway is to practice japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and steady devotion, cultivating the inner state of vīta-kalmaṣa.
