शिव उवाच । कुत्र त्वं यासि मां हित्वा न त्वन्त्याज्या मया शिवे । मया परीक्षितासि त्वं दृढभक्तासि मेऽनघे
śiva uvāca | kutra tvaṃ yāsi māṃ hitvā na tvantyājyā mayā śive | mayā parīkṣitāsi tvaṃ dṛḍhabhaktāsi me'naghe
ಶಿವನು ಹೇಳಿದನು—ಓ ಶಿವೇ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನೀನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೀಯ? ನೀನು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ತ್ಯಜಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವವಳಲ್ಲ. ಓ ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಣಿ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ದೃಢಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವಳು।
