Offering: naivedya
The verse highlights devotional abundance offered in honor of Shiva—pure, sattvic substances (milk, ghee, curd, grain-sweets) symbolizing inner purification and wholehearted bhakti, by which the bound soul (paśu) is softened and oriented toward the Lord (Pati).
Milk, ghee, and curd are classic abhiṣeka and naivedya substances in Saguna worship of Shiva’s Linga-form; they express reverence through tangible service (upacāra), turning devotion into lived ritual while honoring Shiva’s compassionate accessibility.
It suggests performing Shiva abhiṣeka with milk/ghee/curd and offering naivedya (grain-based sweets), ideally accompanied by japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and distributing prasāda as an act of dharma.
