Brahma

Tattva Level: pashu

Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga passage; it depicts Brahmā’s court receiving the devas’ report—cosmic administration and maintenance (sthiti) through counsel and orderly deliberation.

Significance: Highlights śaraṇāgati to higher authority and truthful nivedana (full disclosure) as a dharmic prerequisite for resolution—analogous to confession/acknowledgment before grace in devotional life.

FAQs

It highlights disciplined discernment (samālocya) and humble surrender (natvā) before higher wisdom—qualities that, in Shaiva thought, purify the pashu (bound soul) and prepare it to receive Shiva’s grace through right understanding and devotion.

Though the Linga is not named here, the verse models the devotional posture essential to Saguna Shiva worship: reverence, truthful reporting, and seeking guidance—attitudes that make ritual and prayer fruitful and aligned with dharma.

Practice namaskāra with ādara (reverent bowing) before Shiva or the Guru, then engage in calm reflection (samālocana) before japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offering your concerns inwardly as a truthful ‘nivedana’ (submission).
