Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
It shows the harmony of yoga and grace: even while established in deep dhyāna, Śiva—Pati, the compassionate Lord—responds to sincere approach (bhakti) from Pārvatī, indicating that devotion is never ignored.
Śiva’s pausing of meditation highlights His accessible, saguna aspect—personally responsive to the devotee—supporting Purāṇic Linga-worship where the transcendent Lord is approached through a tangible, grace-filled form.
A key takeaway is balanced sādhana: maintain steady dhyāna (often with pañcākṣarī—Om Namaḥ Śivāya) while cultivating humility and devotion, approaching Śiva with reverence as Pārvatī does.
