This is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter, reminding the listener that the Purāṇic teaching is transmitted in an ordered lineage and structure—supporting śraddhā (reverent attention) and disciplined remembrance of Śiva and Pārvatī’s sacred narrative.
Though it is not a ritual instruction, it frames the narrative within the Rudra Saṃhitā and Pārvatī-khaṇḍa, where Saguna Śiva—approachable through devotion, names, and sacred places (like Śiva’s mountain)—is contemplated as the compassionate Lord who grants grace leading toward liberation.
As an end-of-chapter marker, it implicitly encourages pāraayaṇa (devotional reading) and smaraṇa (remembrance): conclude recitation with mental salutation to Śiva and Pārvatī, and continue japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
