Sukta 9.96
प्रास्य धारा बृहतीरसृग्रन्नक्तो गोभिः कलशाँ आ विवेश । साम कृण्वन्त्सामन्यो विपश्चित्क्रन्दन्नेत्यभि सख्युर्न जामिम् ॥
prā́sya dhā́rā bṛhatī́r asṛgran aktó góbhih kalaśā́m̐ ā́ viveśa | sā́ma kṛṇvā́nt sāmanyó vipaścit krándann ety abhí sakhyúr ná jāmím ||
ಅವನಿಂದ ಮಹತ್ತಾದ ಧಾರೆಗಳು ಹೊರಹೊಮ್ಮಿದವು; ಕಿರಣಗಳಿಂದ ಅಭಿಷಿಕ್ತನಾಗಿ, ಗೋಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಲಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದನು. ಸಾಮವನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುತ್ತಾ—ಸಾಮನ ಅಧಿಪತಿ, ವಿವೇಕದ ದ್ರಷ್ಟಾ—ಉಚ್ಚವಾಗಿ ಘೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಸಖನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವಂತೆ ತನ್ನ ಬಂಧುಗಳ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
