Sukta 8.21
वयं हि त्वा बन्धुमन्तमबन्धवो विप्रास इन्द्र येमिम । या ते धामानि वृषभ तेभिरा गहि विश्वेभिः सोमपीतये ॥
vayáṃ hí tvā bandhu-mántam abandhávo víprāsa indra yemimá | yā́ te dhā́māni vṛṣabha tébhir ā́ gahi víśvebhiḥ sóma-pītaye ||
ನಾವು, ಬೇರೆ ಆಧಾರವಿಲ್ಲದವರಾದರೂ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಸತ್ಯಬಂಧಗಳಿಂದ ತುಂಬಿದ ಬಂಧುವೆಂದು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ; ಹೇ ಇಂದ್ರ, ನಾವು ವಿಪ್ರ ಋಷಿಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಹೇ ವೃಷಭ (ಬಲವಂತ), ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಧಾಮಗಳೂ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳೂ ಜೊತೆಯಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾ; ಸರ್ವರೂಪದಿಂದ ಸೊಮಪಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ—ನಮ್ಮ ಯಜ್ಞದಲ್ಲೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಏರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ (ಉನ್ನತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ) ನೀನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸು.
