Sukta 8.1
आ त्वद्य सधस्तुतिं वावातुः सख्युरा गहि । उपस्तुतिर्मघोनां प्र त्वावत्वधा ते वश्मि सुष्टुतिम् ॥
ā́ tvā́dya sadha-stutíṃ vāvātúḥ sakhyúr ā́ gahi | úpa-stutir maghónāṃ prá tvāvatú ádha te vaśmi su-stutím ||
ಇಂದು ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ಥಿರ ಸಧಸ್ತುತಿ (ನಿರಂತರ ಸ್ತುತಿ) ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬಾ, ಹೇ ವೇಗವಂತನೇ; ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನಂತೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾ. ಮಘೋನಾಂ (ದಾನಿಗಳ) ಉಪಸ್ತುತಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ನಡೆಸಲಿ; ನಂತರ ನಾನು ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಸುಷ್ಟುತಿ (ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿತ ಸ್ತುತಿ-ಗೀತೆ) ಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟುವೆ—ಯಥೋಚಿತ ಉಚ್ಚಾರದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲವನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವೆ.
