Sukta 4.18
परायतीं मातरमन्वचष्ट न नानु गान्यनु नू गमानि । त्वष्टुर्गृहे अपिबत्सोममिन्द्रः शतधन्यं चम्वोः सुतस्य ॥
parāyátīṃ mātáram ánv acaṣṭa ná nā́nu gā́ni ánu nū́ gamāni | tváṣṭur gṛhé apibat sómam índraḥ śatá-dhanyaṃ camvóḥ sutásya ||
ಅವನು ಓಡಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು, (ಹೇಳುತ್ತ) ‘ಇಲ್ಲ—ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಹಾದಿಗಳನ್ನನುಸರಿಸಿ ನಾನು ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಈಗ ರೂಢಿಯಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಿಂದ ನಾನು ಸಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.’ ತ್ವಷ್ಟೃನ ಗೃಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದ್ರನು ಸೋಮವನ್ನು ಪಾನಮಾಡಿದನು—ಚಮೂಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಿಷ್ಕೃತವಾದ, ಶತಧನ್ಯ, ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ತುಂಬುವ ರಸವನ್ನು.
