Sukta 1.80
इन्द्रो वृत्रस्य दोधतः सानुं वज्रेण हीळितः । अभिक्रम्याव जिघ्नतेऽपः सर्माय चोदयन्नर्चन्ननु स्वराज्यम् ॥
índro vṛtrásya dódhataḥ sā́nuṃ vájreṇa hīḷitáḥ | abhí-kramyā́va jighnate ’páḥ sármāya codáyan ’rcann ánu sva-rā́jyam ||
ವಜ್ರದಿಂದ ಪ್ರೇರಿತನಾದ ಇಂದ್ರನು, ಒತ್ತಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಉಬ್ಬುವ ವೃತ್ರನ ಶಿಖರ-ಕಡಲನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿದು ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೆಡವುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಜಲಗಳು ಮುಕ್ತವಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯಲೆಂದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಸ್ವರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅನುಸರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುತ್ತಾ.
