देवो न यः पृथिवीं विश्वधाया उपक्षेति हितमित्रो न राजा । पुरःसदः शर्मसदो न वीरा अनवद्या पतिजुष्टेव नारी ॥
devó ná yaḥ pṛthivī́ṃ viśvá-dhāyā upa-kṣéti hitá-mitro ná rājā́ | puráḥ-sadaḥ śárma-sado ná vīrā́ anavadyā́ patí-juṣṭeva nā́rī ||
ದೇವನಂತೆ ಅವನು ವಿಶ್ವಾಧಾರ ಪೃಥ್ವಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಹಿತಮಿತ್ರನಾದ ರಾಜನಂತೆ ಸ್ನೇಹಬಂಧಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮನ್ವಯಗೊಂಡು. ಮುಂಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸನಗೊಳ್ಳುವವನು, ಶಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸನಗೊಳ್ಳುವವನು, ವೀರರಂತೆ; ನಿರವದ್ಯ, ಪತಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯವಾದ ನಾರಿಯಂತೆ.
