The Slaying of Indrajit
तौधवनिनौजिघांसन्तवन्योन्यमिषुभिर्भृशम् ।विजयेनाभिनिष्क्रान्तौवनेगजवृषाविव ।।।।
tau dhanvinau jighāṃsantāv anyonyam iṣubhir bhṛśam |
vijayenābhiniṣkrāntau vane gajavṛṣāv iva ||
ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಧನುರ್ಧರರು ಪರಸ್ಪರನನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಉರಿಗೈಯಿಂದ, ಬಾಣಗಳಿಂದ ಭಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಹೊಡೆದು, ವಿಜಯಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟರು—ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಮಹಾಗಜವೃಷಭಗಳಂತೆ।
