अयुक्तंनिधनंकर्तुंपुत्रस्यजनितुर्मम ।घृणामपास्यरामार्थेनिहन्यांभ्रातुरात्मजम् ।।।।

Transliteration

ayuktaṃ nidhanaṃ kartuṃ putrasya janitur mama |

ghṛṇām apāsya rāmārthe nihanyāṃ bhrātur ātmajam ||

Translation

ನನಗೆ, ತಂದೆಯ ಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿರುವವನಿಗೆ, ಮಗನಂತಿರುವವನ ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸುವುದು ಯುಕ್ತವಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೂ ರಾಮನ ಕಾರ್ಯಸಿದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸಿ, ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನ ಪುತ್ರನನ್ನೂ ಸಂಹರಿಸುವೆನು.
