लङ्काद्वारव्यूहवर्णनम् / Disposition at the Gates of Lanka
ततस्तुरामोमहताबलेनप्रच्छाद्यसर्वांपृथिवींमहात्मा ।प्रहृष्टरूपोऽभिजगामलङ्कांकृत्वामतिंसोऽरिवधेमहात्मा ।।।।
tatas tu rāmo mahatā balena pracchādya sarvāṃ pṛthivīṃ mahātmā | prahṛṣṭa-rūpo ’bhijagāma laṅkāṃ kṛtvā matiṃ so ’rivadhe mahātmā ||
ನಂತರ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ರಾಮನು ಮಹಾಬಲವಂತವಾದ ತನ್ನ ವಿಶಾಲ ಸೇನೆಯಿಂದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಆವರಿಸಿ, ಹರ್ಷಭರಿತ ಮುಖದಿಂದ ಲಂಕೆಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿದನು; ಶತ್ರುವಧದ ದೃಢ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಆ ಮಹಾತ್ಮನು ಸಾಗಿದನು.
"Rama! Alas, they told me everything of the way evil minded Ravana's army is organized as it is. Listen to me."
Dharma here is righteous resolve in a just cause: once truth is known and duty is clear, action proceeds steadily for the protection of justice.
The host mobilizes and advances; the sarga closes with Rāma’s determined movement toward Laṅkā.
