युद्धकाण्डे द्वादशः सर्गः — रावणस्य परिषद्-सम्बोधनं कुम्भकर्णस्य नीत्युपदेशश्च

चपलस्यतुकृत्येषुप्रसमीक्ष्याधिकंबलम् ।क्षिप्रमन्येप्रपद्यन्तेक्रौञ्चस्यखमिवद्विजाः ।।6.12.33।।
capalasya tu kṛtyeṣu prasamīkṣyādhikaṃ balam | kṣipram anye prapadyante krauñcasya kham iva dvijāḥ || 6.12.33 ||
ಆದರೆ ಚಪಲನು ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶತ್ರುವಿನ ಅಧಿಕ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಸಮ್ಯಕ್ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸದೆ ಮುಂದುವರಿದರೆ, ಅವನು ಶೀಘ್ರವೇ ಅಪಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಕ್ರೌಂಚ ಪರ್ವತದ ಬಿರುಕುಗೆ ಹಕ್ಕಿಗಳು ನುಗ್ಗುವಂತೆ.
